Roadtrip to Ukiah

I have a new listing coming soon in Ukiah and I am always excited to head up there.

My husband and I got married at a magical lake in the area and I never turn down an opportunity to stop at our favorite places along the way.

If you are headed up to Ukiah or on your way up 101, check out some of these spots…

Nelson family vineyards

We loved this place when we got married (we drank their top row cab at our wedding) and we still stop by any time we head up there. Small intimate tasting room. Lizards for the kiddos to chase outside while you taste. Big beautiful redwoods. The cabs and dessert wines are our favorites.

*bonus! They have a Christmas Tree farm that is EXCELLENT during the holidays.

Country POrch Antiques

Love love love to stop here. First, if you need a cabin sign - you know the kind you get at the fair? There is usually a truck in the parking lot. Second, there is always something amazing at this store. Prices are totally reasonable and it is packed floor to ceiling with goodies.

Bluebird Cafe

Where else do you get to choose between a buffalo, beef, elk or turkey burger? The bluebird cafe catered our wedding, so we’re partial, but we took our kiddos here for breakfast recently and they LOVED it. Amazing diner type food with awesome service.

Brutocao Winery

While we drank Nelson Family at our wedding, we served our guests Brutocao Cellar’s “Bliss” label wines. Stop here for tasting and outdoor bocce!

La Buena Michoacana

When I brought my kids up here last time I promised ice cream. Well, La Buena Michoacana OVER delivered. My son is obsessed with guanabana flavor and they had it! Big waffle cone, home made ice cream, paletas. Magical. Not easy to find, so follow your GPS carefully.
